On Tuesday Night, Boro face Premier League opposition in Crystal Palace. They have a new manager in Pierre Sage who came in from Lens after Oliver Glasner left the club after winning an FA Cup, Community Shield and UEFA Conference League.

Crystal Palace’s Pre Season was quite mixed with 3 wins, 1 draw and 3 loses which included 3-0 loses, 3 times in a row. They have started the new Premier League season with 2 loses and 1 win which came on Saturday away at Fulham winning 3-2.

The summer transfer window was a busy one for the Eagles signing 11 new players.

They will be looking to kick on and really start getting results under the new manager and hope they can go for another trophy after winning 3 in the last 2 seasons. Crystal Palace’s front 3 could be a handful for the Boro Defence in Jorgen Strand Larsen, Ismaila Sarr and Jean Philippe-Mateta.

Boro have faced Crystal Palace 23 times since 1979 of which 10 have been Boro wins the last one coming in 2018 at the Riverside in the Carabao Cup where Boro won 1-0 from a Lewis Wing goal. Usually meetings between the sides are quite tight and dont have many goals in them.

Predicted Crystal Palace Lineup:

This will be a good test for Boro to see how good we are and how well organised at the back we are and see if we are ready for a spot in next seasons Premier League by facing one of the best sides in the division who’ve had recent success.
